It employs 350 lawyers and maintains offices in several states.〔 The firm focuses on product liability litigation, corporate, family and employment law, as well as intellectual property, bankruptcy and creditors' rights.〔 Despite layoffs in 2013 the company is ranked as the 119th largest firm in the United States. Notable clients have included Celanese, ArvinMeritor, Liggett Group, Enron, WorldCom, Robert De Niro, Donald Trump and Mia Farrow.
The primary administrator at the firm is Marc Kasowitz and his fellow partners. The company's average per partner profit was $2.9 million in 2004 and $2.08 million in 2009. The firm has a "diverse culture" with an exceptional number of young lawyers. The firm has had some minor controversies regarding a client and a few former employees but these were resolved without any judgments against the firm.
